Known as the rainbow stone, Opal is a maelstrom of reflections, hues and brilliance enclosed in a mineral whose hypnotizing effect has been famous since the beginning of human times. Its name derives from the Sanskrit term: "úpala" , which means  "Precious stone" , as well as from the Greek: "opallios" , which translates as  "Color change" . Such has been the impact of Opal throughout history and cultures, that it is not surprising that it has emerged as the protagonist of many legends, always surrounded by a halo of superstition to which hundreds of magical properties, mystical phenomena are attributed and divine origins.
